The City of Goose Creek has been working to foster an artisan image. After forming a Cultural Arts Commission, the once blank brick walls on various buildings throughout the city are now covered with spirited, painted murals. There has been a reboot for the city's Artist Guild. The abandoned Marriage Chapel along Highway 176 will soon display works from members of the guild after the city purchased the property. In the coming months, performing arts will be center stage in the city's efforts to nurture an artist's touch.
