Turning Page Bookshop in Goose Creek is the only African American owned-and-operated brick and mortar bookstore in the state. Owned by VeLinda Miller and managed by her best friend, Arrylee Satterfield, the bookstore has been in business since 2019. The mission of Turning Page Bookshop is to gauge customers' interest in books and reading and to influence and expand customers' tastes and preferences in literature while reviving, sustaining, and further increasing their customer base and level of business following the continual downturn of business following the COVID-19 pandemic.
