Canada geese tend to connect with a mate for a lifetime (barring a breakup here and there), and a single prolific pair can produce dozens of baby geese over the decade-plus of the goose lifespan. In Marin, the geese live here year round rather than migrating because, well, as humans also have learned, Marin is a really nice place to live. That means we also get to witness their ages and stages of life, including the gosling period. I'm not a fan of geese. They leave their giant droppings everywhere, and if I were a nonhuman animal forced to live near them, their honking would send me over the edge.
