Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) invites ages 12-and-older to experience Hawai'ian culture and dance with Intro to Hula Class from 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at Goose Creek Library, located at 325 Old Moncks Corner Road in Goose Creek. Customers will learn about the Hawai'ian culture and history, hula dance, have fun and perform. Shantel Rasure is the current head instructor, and a member of Pu'uwai Ho'āno 'O Leikela Group, a hula group, in the Charleston area. She is from Hawai'i, speaks Hawai'ian, and has been dancing many different styles during her lifetime.
