Dorchester County swim teams are getting good results early this season. Summerville and Fort Dorchester both had a good showing during the annual Fort Dorchester Invitational meet Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the North Charleston Aquatics Center. State power Wando won the girls' meet by tallying 444 points. Summerville placed second with 250 points. Trailing were Cane Bay (223), Fort Dorchester (137), Stratford (99), Goose Creek (65) and Hanahan (23). Wando and Summerville were also the top teams in the boys' meet.
